About BOE
The State Board of Examiners (BOE) was created by Nevada Revised Statute 353.010. Its purpose is to review claims for payment pursuant to an appropriation or authorization by the Legislature. The Board consists of the Governor, the Secretary of State and the Attorney General. Additionally, NRS 353.033 establishes the Budget Director (Governor's Finance Office) as ex officio Clerk of the BOE to assist with the examination and classification of all claims to be presented to the Board and to oversee quarterly reporting and post-audits of claims.
