Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Fund
On March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) was passed by Congress and signed into law. This act established the Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Fund (CSFRF) and Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund which, combined, appropriated $350 billion to provide payments to states and certain local governments; the District of Columbia and U.S. Territories and Tribal governments to assist with recovery and to continue navigating the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. Nevada received approximately $2.739 billion in CSFRF assistance to help Nevadans. The Governor's Finance Office is responsible for the administration of the CSFRF. Coronavirus Relief Fund
On March 27, 2020, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was passed by Congress and signed into law. This act established the Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) and appropriated $150 billion to the Fund to provide payments to states and certain local governments; the District of Columbia and U.S. Territories and Tribal governments navigating the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. The State of Nevada received approximately $836 million of which $148.6 million was paid to local governments with populations under 500,000.
